Speaking to God
Scripture: "But Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed." - Luke 5:16
Jesus, our greatest example, understood the necessity of retreating to pray. His time of solitude highlights the importance of a personal conversation with God. Jeremiah 33:3 emphasizes God’s call for us to communicate, and Jesus modeled this through His practice of prayer. Today, think about how you prioritize prayer in your daily life. Are you creating space for solitude to seek God? Jesus often sought quiet moments to connect deeply with the Father, allowing Him to guide His heart and actions. Make it a point to set aside a few moments today for uninterrupted prayer. Allow yourself to be fully present in that time.
Reflection: Consider what distractions you need to remove to encounter God more fully in prayer.
Prayer: Father, help me to carve out time in my day for prayer and reflection. May I draw near to You in those moments, ready to listen and be guided by Your voice. Thank You for always welcoming me into Your presence.
Amen.
