How God Speaks
Scripture: "Be still, and know that I am God." - Psalm 46:10
In our busy lives, the act of listening often falls to the wayside, especially when we engage in prayer. Prayer is as much about speaking as it is about listening for God’s voice. Psalm 46:10 teaches us that there is great value in getting alone with God and getting quiet before Him as we open our heart to listen. Today, take time to practice silence in your prayer life. After presenting your requests to God, allow yourself to sit in stillness and listen for His response. It can be revealing and transformative when you choose to quiet your thoughts and open your heart.
Reflection: Think about how you can create an environment conducive to listening to God.
Prayer: God, teach me to embrace silence, to listen for Your voice amid the noise of life. I desire to hear from You, so help me create space to reflect and be still. Thank You for Your guidance and presence in my life.
Amen.
