The Power of Seed Planting
**Scripture:** “And he said, ‘The kingdom of God is as if a man should scatter seed on the ground.’” - Mark 4:26 (ESV)
Every time we share the gospel, we scatter seeds of faith. Sometimes these seeds take root, and sometimes they don’t, but that doesn’t mean our efforts were in vain. Just like the man preaching at the gates of Sodom, we must remember that our calling is to share, not necessarily to change lives single-handedly. The story is told that a man preached every day at the gates of Sodom for the people to repent and follow God. He would pour out his heart and speak the truth of God to the people. One day a man stopped and said, “You are wasting your time. None of these people will ever change.” The man replied, “I am not preaching to change Sodom, I am preaching so Sodom will not change me.” This story illustrates that while others may not respond immediately, our sharing of the gospel keeps us grounded and prevents the world from changing us. We live in faithfulness to our call, allowing God to work in His timing. Take some time to consider whom you can share your faith with this week. Don’t be afraid of rejection; every attempt is an opportunity to plant seeds of hope.
**Prayer:** Lord, thank You for the privilege of sharing Your message. Help me to be faithful and courageous as I scatter seeds of faith. Remind me that You are at work in people’s hearts, even if I can’t see it. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
