Crying Out to God
Reading: Psalm 18:6
Devotional: Desire is a powerful force that moves us toward action, but it can also be a test of faith. Crying out to God with our desires is an act of vulnerability and trust. When you feel desperate or uncertain, bring those feelings honestly before God. He is not distant or indifferent; He is intimately involved and eager to respond.
God encourages you to embrace your desires as a way to deepen your relationship with God. Instead of hiding your longings or trying to control the outcome, offer them up with faith. God’s heart is moved by sincere cries, and He responds in ways that may surprise you. Sometimes His answer is to give you what you want, other times to give you Himself more fully.
Remember, God’s “yes” is not just about granting requests but about fulfilling the deepest needs of your soul. Trusting Him with your desires opens the door to experiencing His peace and presence, even in seasons of waiting.
