The Shepherd Who Comforts

Psalm 23:1 “The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.”

Jesus, as the Good Shepherd, not only comforts and protects us from external dangers but also ministers to our hearts from the inside. The Holy Spirit, as our Advocate, brings comfort, peace, and joy from within. The comfort we receive isn’t just external protection; it’s an internal transformation that helps us overcome fear and anxiety.

Just as a shepherd cares for his sheep, Jesus cares for us intimately, through the work of the Holy Spirit. He is both with us and in us.

Reflection: Do you view the Holy Spirit as an internal comforter? How can you allow Him to minister more deeply in your heart today?

Prayer:

Good Shepherd, thank You for Your care and protection. Holy Spirit, I invite You to work deeply in my heart, bringing comfort, peace, and joy that only You can provide. Amen.
