Overcoming Internal Struggles
Jesus teaches that the source of our struggles—anger, depression, fear—comes from within our hearts. Like an unstable bomb, these feelings can be triggered by external circumstances, but the root lies inside. The Holy Spirit’s work in our hearts is to bring healing and peace to these internal struggles. When we allow Him to fill us, He replaces turmoil with His peace and joy.
The external circumstances may not change immediately, but the way we respond to them can transform as the Holy Spirit works within us.
Reflection: What internal struggles do you face that steal your peace and joy? How can you invite the Holy Spirit to heal those areas of your heart?
Prayer:
Holy Spirit, I invite You to work in my heart today. Heal the wounds that cause fear, anger, and sadness. Replace them with Your peace and joy. Amen.
