The Power of Truth

In a world where "my truth" is often claimed as the ultimate authority, we are called to a higher standard. Jesus warns us about replacing truth with personal preference. Relativism, the idea that truth is subjective, may be popular in society today, but it’s a lie that’s been debunked throughout history. Jesus presents a different reality: “My word is truth” (John 17:17).

The Word of God is not just a collection of wise sayings; it is the absolute truth that guides our lives. Truth is not merely subjective or based on individual experiences, but something eternal and unchanging. We can trust God’s Word because it leads us into a relationship with Him—a relationship grounded in truth, not opinion.

Today, reflect on where you might have been swayed by the lies of relativism or subjective truth. How can you anchor yourself in God's Word, the ultimate truth, for your life today?

Prayer:

Lord, help me to recognize Your truth above all else. May Your Word be the foundation of my life. Teach me to discern Your voice above the noise of the world. Amen.
