Living in the Right Now
Reading: 2 Timothy 4:9-22
Devotional: Faith grows strongest in the present moment. Spiritual vertigo often arises when we lose sight of God’s immediate presence and promises. Instead of being overwhelmed by uncertainty, we can anchor ourselves in God’s faithfulness today.
Hebrews 13:8 reminds us, “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” This unchanging truth assures us that God’s love and power are constant, no matter what uncertainties surround us.
In 2 Timothy, the apostle Paul tells Timothy to “come before winter.” Once the winter came the boats would be docked. Timothy would not be able to make the journey and spring would be too late. Paul would be executed for his faith by then. Living in the “right now” means trusting God’s character and promises as our firm foundation. It means choosing to believe His Word over our fears and doubts. ‘Right now”means to act immediately when God moves on your heart to act.
Reflect on God’s faithfulness in your life. How can remembering His unchanging nature help you face today’s challenges? Embrace the present with confidence, knowing that God’s steady hand holds you securely. In doing so, your spiritual vision will sharpen, and your faith will flourish. Do it now!
