Be Still Before God
Reading: Psalm 46 — “Be still, and know that I am God.”
Devotional: The present moment is a sacred space where God meets us. Rather than being distracted by what’s behind or ahead, we are invited to experience God’s presence here and now.
Psalm 46:10 says, “Be still, and know that I am God.” Stillness is the doorway to encountering God’s peace and power. When we pause and focus on Him in the present, spiritual dizziness fades, replaced by clarity and strength.
Practicing stillness can be as simple as a moment of prayer, or a quiet reflection on Scripture. These small acts create space for God’s Spirit to work within us, grounding us in His love and truth.
Ask yourself: How often do you intentionally pause to be still before God? What distractions keep you from this sacred space? Commit today to carving out moments to be present with God. As you do, spiritual vertigo will lose its grip, and you will discover a renewed sense of peace and purpose.
