Exercising our Spiritual Gifts

Scripture Reading: Romans 12:6-8
“We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith; if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully.”

Having recognized our spiritual gifts, the next step is to actively employ them in the service of others. Each gift carries its own set of responsibilities, and God urges us to use them faithfully and eagerly. This active engagement is not just a duty, but a delightful response to God’s grace. Consider how you can use your gifts more effectively within your church and community. By doing so, you not only fulfill your God-given purpose but also experience the joy of contributing to God's work.

Prayer: Lord, give me the courage and wisdom to use my gifts for Your purposes. Move me to step beyond my comfort zone and engage wholeheartedly in the work You have prepared for me. May my actions reflect Your love and bring honor to Your name. Amen.
