Expecting Opposition

**Scripture:** “If the world hates you, know that it has hated me before it hated you.” - John
15:18 (ESV)

As followers of Christ, we sometimes feel surprised by the opposition we encounter when sharing the gospel. Jesus warned us not to be surprised, but to be prepared for it. Opposition is part of the journey, and we need to stand firm in our faith. Flashing back to the stories of the early church, many believers faced extreme challenges, yet they boldly proclaimed Jesus. Their perseverance is a reminder that we can expect opposition but must continue to share the light. Each time we speak about Christ, we plant seeds of hope in others—even if we don't immediately see the fruits. Reflect today on how you have responded to opposition. Instead of feeling discouraged, ask God for the strength to push forward. Remember that sharing the gospel not only impacts others but also deepens our own faith.

**Prayer:** Heavenly Father, thank You for reminding me that opposition is part of my journey as a believer. Help me to stand firm when faced with challenges. Give me the courage to share Your love, knowing that every seed planted has purpose. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
