Peace in the Midst of Conflict

John 16:33 reminds us that in this world, we will face trouble. However, Jesus assures us, “I have overcome the world.” Peace doesn’t mean the absence of difficulty. True peace is peace in the storm.

Imagine the storm raging around the flower in the famous painting—though the environment is tumultuous, the flower remains untouched. This is the kind of peace God offers. It doesn’t mean our lives will be free from trials, but it means that we can find inner peace even in the most challenging moments.

Today, take a moment to reflect on areas where you may be experiencing conflict or struggle. Ask God to give you His peace in the midst of those situations.

Prayer:

Jesus, thank You for overcoming the world. Help me to experience Your peace even in the storms of life. I trust in Your sovereignty and Your goodness. Amen.
