Resurrection and Ascension
In John 16:28, Jesus says, “I’m going to the Father.” His ascension into heaven is not the end of the story, but the confirmation that the work He began on earth has been completed. Through His death, resurrection, and now His ascension, Jesus has secured victory over sin and death for all who believe in Him.
The resurrection assures us that Jesus is alive, and the ascension shows us that He reigns at the right hand of the Father. We are no longer waiting for a Savior to come; we have a living Savior who is interceding for us before the Father.
Take a moment to reflect on the significance of Jesus’ resurrection and ascension. Because of these events, we can live in victory, knowing that Jesus is alive and is preparing a place for us with the Father.
Prayer:
Lord, thank You for the power of the resurrection. I rejoice that You are alive and reigning. I look forward to the day You return and bring us into eternal glory. Amen.
