Jesus Died for Our Sins

The culmination of Jesus' mission was the cross. As He says in John 16:28, “Now I am leaving the world.” His departure signifies not just the end of His earthly ministry, but the moment He would lay down His life for us. Jesus came to die—to bear the weight of our sin and the punishment we deserved.

The cross is the ultimate demonstration of God's love for us. Jesus took on all the brokenness of the world, including our guilt, shame, and pain, and nailed it to the cross. He gave His life so that we could be forgiven and restored to a right relationship with God.

Today, meditate on the profound sacrifice of Jesus. Reflect on how He has overcome the power of sin and death on your behalf.

Prayer:

Thank You, Jesus, for dying for me. I can’t fully understand the depth of Your sacrifice, but I know it was done out of love. Help me to live in the light of Your grace every day. Amen.
